TPG Capital recently completed the purchase of Change Healthcare’s Clinical Claims Management (CCM) business, which includes the ClaimsXten®, ClaimsXten® Select, ClaimCheck, Secondary Editing, and Episode Manager solutions. The transaction establishes the CCM business as an independent company, with an interim name of ClaimsXten Portfolio. ClaimsXten Portfolio has a long history as a trusted partner and market leader in primary claim editing, delivering value through savings, operational efficiencies, and long-standing partner relationships.

Position Overview: As the Director of Engineering, Platforms, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, development, and management of our data and platform engineering teams. You will play a critical role in designing and delivering scalable, reliable, and efficient platform solutions that enable various business units to extract valuable insights from data, enhance customer experiences, and drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategy:

    • Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the data engineering and platform engineering teams.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
    • Drive the evolution of data and platform engineering strategies to support scalability, flexibility, and innovation.
  • Platform Engineering:

    • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust platform solutions that underpin our products and services.
    • Identify opportunities for platform enhancements, performance optimizations, and technology modernization.
    • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of platform services.
  • Data Engineering:

    • Oversee the design and implementation of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions to support data-driven decision-making.
    • Drive the architecture and development of data warehouses, ensuring efficient storage, processing, and retrieval of data.
  • Team Management:

    • Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of platform and data engineers.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
    • Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and facilitate professional growth for team members.
  • Collaboration and Communication:

    • Partner with product managers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Technology Evaluation:

    • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data and platform engineering.
    • Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance engineering capabilities and productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12 years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a strong focus on platform and data engineering.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering scalable platform solutions that drive business value.
  • Expertise in data engineering, ETL processes, data integration, and data warehousing.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated services.
  • Experience with modern software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

The applicable base pay for your state is listed below. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, ClaimsXten Portfolio offers benefits such as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with ClaimsXten Portfolio, you’ll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives.

The base pay range for this position is $132,750.00 - $412,920.00
