Your Role

As a Software Intern at Four Growers, you will be involved with designing and developing the software for perception, plant analytics, system integration, and deployment of a mobile harvesting robot.

As such, you will have the opportunity to test and deploy your software on systems in customer sites across the globe and will have your code picking tomatoes that are sold on grocery store shelves.

Needed Education

Pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.

Required Skills & Experience

• Obsessive learner and self-starter
• Capability to solve complex and ambiguous problems
• Exceptional communication skills
• Working knowledge of at least one object oriented programming language, preferably C++
• Exposure to robotic systems and concepts such as computer vision, 6-DOF motion planning, kinematics, sensor interfaces, and remote software deployment.

Bonus Skills & Experience

• Experience with various tools and technologies such as: ROS, git, CMake, Jenkins, gdb
• Experience with machine learning and convolutional neural networks

Travel: No travel is required for this position

Pay: Hourly non-exempt
