Position Overview

Vantage is looking for an autonomous, detail-oriented, high-performing Financial Reporting Manager, NA to work with our Finance team to ensure financial reporting accuracy and contribute to an effective internal control environment.

This position combines oversight of our monthly close process as well as financial reporting, which includes monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to meet internal management and external investor and debt requirements. You will contribute to the oversight of daily activities to ensure transactions are recorded correctly and properly approved. You will play a critical role in the monthly close process by being the first level reviewer and approver of account reconciliations and closing journal entries prepared by senior accountants. You will be a leader in monitoring accounts and financial statements for compliance with U.S. GAAP and will assist in updating our financial accounting framework as policies change and new transactions occur. You will be a critical contributor to our financial reporting activities, including first level reviewer of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure accuracy of daily transactions

  • Lead monthly close process, including direct oversight of our team of senior accountants and review of account reconciliations and financial reporting packages

  • Lead process documentation and creation of internal control and accounting policies as the Company continues to grow

  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to meet various internal and external financial reporting requirements

  • Prepare non-routine and routine reporting to investors though KPI and other reporting, as requested

Duties

  • Review transactions for proper coding to the general ledger and capital project codes and contribute to the accounting manager level approver of invoices and purchase orders in our accounting system

  • Review reconciliations of balance sheet accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis

  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting information, including balance sheets, income statements, statements of changes in equity, and cash flow statements

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of process and policy documentation as needed

  • Assist in implementing process improvements (monthly close automation, etc.)

  • Contribute to evaluation of and accounting for non-routine projects such as real estate and business acquisition, debt financing transactions, etc., as needed

  • Lead coordination with external auditors

Job Requirements

  • Master of Science degree in Accounting or Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting plus relevant experience required

  • CPA required

  • 4 or more years at a major public accounting firm or 7 or more years of experience in an accounting role required

  • Real estate industry experience is preferred, but not required

  • Ability to analyze financial data and clearly / concisely document the interpretation of financial analysis

  • Good understanding of U.S. GAAP required

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint

  • Ability to collaborate with individuals across the organization and “roll-up one’s sleeves” to accomplish all necessary tasks

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $110,000-$130,000 base + bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)

  • Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including your qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
