Accessories constitute an important part of the overall mobile computing business and focus on elevating the experience of the devices that they accompany. Often a key differentiator for customers and stakeholders, the Accessories portfolio from Zebra is both comprehensive and purposefully built for enterprise deployment. You will work on solutions that are a mix of hardware (physical, electromechanical) and some software (firmware and/or connected to the cloud). You’ll be effective in this role if you have

  • Core product management skills. Segmentation, VOC, market size (TAM<>SAM<>SOM), 4Ps, analyzing competitive landscape, differentiated value creation, forecasting / building business cases, Go-To-Market strategy, looking at say/do, obsolescing products, and marketing communications are all things you’re good at.
  • Instinctive curiosity. At Zebra, you’ll have opportunities to question the status quo when something doesn’t make sense and actively listen / learn why things are done a certain way. Being curious while empathic is your forte.

Responsibilities
  • Owns product lifecycle management for assigned product lines including tactical execution, managing custom requirements, developing and driving end of life plans and execution of inventory objectives.
  • Responsible for complete product offer definitions, technical and operational requirement identification and documentation, rallies teams to create the product offer following Zebra’s New Product Introduction (NSI) process, coordinates post launch activities such as sales support, bid and quote support and customer presentations.
  • Develop s and maintain s an understanding of the market, competitive landscape and intelligence, customer requirements, distribution channels and Zebra offerings.
  • Create s competitive product comparisons, value propositions and other sales tools, and provide s to regional teams to assist Sales with product positioning and winning new business.
  • Monitor s competitive actions and pricing and make s recommendations on go-to-market strategies including pricing, positioning, and promotions. Support s recommendations with sales and margin analyses.
  • Responsible for , and measured on financial performance, including revenue, market share and margin targets. Investigate s deviations and variances and determines corrective actions and assists with implementation.
  • Partner s with Regional Product Managers and Product Marketing Managers on product solutions and target customers and makes recommendations on campaign planning.
  • Recommends promotion strategy by working in collaboration with Product Marketing department.
  • Support s sales teams with participation at trade events, regional meetings, customer visits and develop and deliver effective product presentations.
  • Monitor s sales opportunities and pipeline for assigned products. Support s sales teams in driving sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate s with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams on forecasting and monitor s inventory levels, recommending adjustments, as needed.
  • Provide s input to new product development and portfolio planning, including voice of customer (VOC) research, new product and features enhancements, supported by ROI analysis. Support s product launches and manages product lines through end-of-life and support phases.
  • Monitor s customer satisfaction and assists customer service teams with technical support cases, troubleshooting, product customizations and improvements.
  • Monitors financial performance of product lines and makes recommendations for pricing action against revenue and margin objectives. Sets target product costs for new products. Evaluates cost reduction initiatives working in concert with

  • Works autonomously to develop and present business case by completing supportive research,authoring slides and delivering presentations to internal and external audiences,routinely including senior management.
  • Monitors and reports business metrics against plan. Recommends metrics to assess business performance. Develops documentation of product and market requirements.
  • Provides recommendations to influence distribution strategy to meet market needs. Supports product launch by providing a comprehensive understanding of the value proposition.
  • Delivers product training to sales, sales engineers, technical support and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Works closely with development teams to oversee new product development validating development is on spec. Identifies beta site targets, drafts and implements plans.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Power BI
  • Demonstrated profiency in entire MS Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA preferred
  • Prior experience in a B2B company
  • Ability to influence and drive agenda with cross functional leadership/matrix management
  • Willingness and eager to learn the business
  • This is a global role--must be flexible to work different time zones
  • Wears many hats--needs to be agile, quick thinker
  • Mandarin speaking is a plus
  • Demonstrates full knowledge of development process.
  • Through comprehensive knowledge of market, competitive landscape, customer requirements, distribution channels and Zebra offerings, anticipates market and customer requirements for assigned product(s).Manages the Product lifecycle of Zebra’s handheld accessories and select third-party accessories , including post launch and end-of-life activities.

Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
